Vibe Code Rescue is our service for founders who have built an app with AI tools such as Lovable or Bolt and need a straight answer on whether it is safe to put in front of paying customers. The work moves through five stages: a free call with our founder Andy Jones, a paid Rescue Assessment, Done-For-You Hardening, Productionise and Ship, and optional Ongoing Care. Each stage produces a clear deliverable, so you always know where your project stands.

The five steps from prototype to production

Free call with Andy Jones

You begin with a no-cost call directly with Andy, who has built and sold businesses himself and leads our founder-led UK company in Droitwich, Worcestershire, trading since 2005. He gives an honest view on whether your idea has legs and performs a high-level check of your stack. The purpose is to confirm if what you have built will hold up for the customers you plan to target, and to flag obvious dead ends before you spend more.

Rescue Assessment

The next stage is a full review for £995 plus VAT. We examine security, architecture and everything blocking launch, then provide a written report and a 45-minute walkthrough. If you book a fix within 30 days, the assessment fee is credited against the work.

Done-For-You Hardening

Priced between £2,000 and £8,000, this stage fixes the issues we identified. We address exposed secrets, row level security in Supabase, authentication, rate limiting and input validation. We change the code itself rather than handing you a list of problems, so the application is genuinely secure before real users arrive.

Productionise and Ship

For £5,000 to £15,000 we move the hardened app into a live environment. This covers hosting, continuous integration and deployment, monitoring, backups and go-live support. You receive a system that is backed up, observable and ready for real users, with the risky parts of launch handled by engineers who have shipped production software.

Ongoing Care

A retainer from £600 per month provides monitoring, updates and scaling support. This keeps the application healthy as usage grows and new threats appear, and gives you a consistent point of contact for changes.

What we regularly find in AI-built apps

Having audited AI-built apps several times and brought them into production, we see the same problems recur. In builds from Lovable or Bolt, access control is often enforced only in the front end, meaning the browser hides buttons by user role while the API still returns all data to any caller. A frequent Supabase mistake is leaving row level security unconfigured, so every user can read or write every row. Other regular findings include:

• Exposed secrets and API keys in client-side code
• Missing input validation on forms and API endpoints
• No staging environment, no backups, no error logging and no tests

Harden, partly rebuild, or start again

A key decision is whether to fix what exists, rebuild part of it, or begin fresh. In most cases a full rewrite is not necessary. If the core data model is sound but security layers are missing, hardening is the cheaper trade-off because the structure can support correct controls. When the database design mixes unrelated entities or cannot express compliance attributes such as audit trails, a partial rebuild balances cost against future maintenance. If the chosen stack cannot meet regulatory requirements for data handling or projected load, starting again may save money over a year despite the upfront loss. We talk through these trade-offs with you before any code changes, so the plan fits your budget and timeline.

Whatever path we take, you own 100% of the code and IP we write. We transfer full source, documentation and infrastructure access with no lock-in.
